La Cave - Cleveland's Premier Music Venue 1962-1969
Stan Kain, one of the original owners of La Cave during the 60s, is helping to spearhead the 40th year plus 1 reunion. 
 
During his tenure, Stan booked such musical luminaries as Gordon Lightfoot (whose 1st American appearance was at La Cave), Judy Collins, The Stone Poneys featuring Linda Ronstadt, Buzzy Linhart, Brewer & Shipley, Buffy St. Marie, Dave Van Ronk, the Fugs, Gusti, Ian & Sylvia, Janis Ian, Jim & Jean, Joni Mitchell, Judy Henske, Tom Paxton, Tom Rush, Richie Havens, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Bob Gibson, Doc Watson, The Big Three featuring Mama Cass Elliot,  Jose Feliciano, Phil Ochs, Tim Buckley, The Velvet Underground, Jesse Colin Young and many, many others.  In December 1967 Larry Bruner took over booking and booked many of the listed acts as well. 
 
At least 9 members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and 9 performers at Woodstock took the stage at La Cave.
 
The reunion promises to be the musical memory event of a lifetime.  Save the dates - June 25, 26, and 27, 2010.
